Living in Related Worlds

I am an Ojibway man, a father, a husband, and a professor.

With a LLB, LLM, and PhD (abd) in Laws from UBC, I have spent 25 years aspiring to understand the complex systems of a country with 2 distinct histories; one in which I was integral, and one in which I fear that I will be forever discounted.

I wanted to make change through an understanding of land; how we own it, how we occupy it, and how we take care of it. Though I have practiced law, and more recently have assisted Nations through pivitol systems change as a consultant, my current role as a professor has given me unique perspective and reach in Indigenous Governance in Canada. Through teaching future leaders, I am able to translate the space between Western and Indigenous cultures and find symbiosis in the parallel systems.

I was taught that the gift to humans from Creator was the ability to dream.

I am still dreaming.
